Basil Rico Gahi, received two awards in different categories during the Design Excellence Awards 2022 (DEA) organized by the Interior Design Confederation Singapore (IDCS) on December 1, 2022, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.
Gahi鈥檚 work, 鈥淜aharuhay Highlands Mountain Resort鈥� garnered the Silver Award under the Best Hospitality Design, while another piece, 鈥淧abukid Restaurant,鈥� took home the Bronze Award for the Best Food and Beverage Design category.
The Spatial Design Awards (SPADE) give distinctions to design institutions and students whose works demonstrate strong design thinking and new, exciting spatial design concepts. Meanwhile, the IDCS鈥� Design Excellence Awards (DEA) honors the interior design industry and its institutional landscapes with the highest accolades in the region.
Overall, this year鈥檚 competition received 84 entries in nine student categories.
