ºÚÁÏÉçÇø hosts ASEAN QA meeting

Quality assurance (QA) officers from ASEAN countries held a meeting at the University of San Carlos last July 31 to August 2, 2019 facilitated by Frank Niedermeier, ASEAN-QA Project Head of the University of Potsdam, Germany, and Duu Cheng Ong, ASEAN-QA regional mentor from Multimedia University, Malaysia.

These QA officers serve as the core group for establishing a regional network for QA officers that will serve as a platform for sharing expertise and resources for enhancing quality in ASEAN higher education institutions. The meeting is the third of a series where the core group discusses progress of the initial activities funded under the ASEAN-QA Project.

Among the items discussed were the organizational preparations for the to be held on November 6-8, 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The officers also shared insights on QA for teaching and learning with some of the academic heads of the University. The ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Administration, in turn, hosted a fellowship night for the guests along with the QMS team for student support and services.

The ASEAN-QA Project aims at promoting regional quality assurance in the region. It is coordinated by the within the framework of the , which is jointly coordinated by the (DAAD) and the .

Partnering in the ASEAN-QA Project are the ASEAN University Network, the in Southeast Asia, the , and the .
