The University of San Carlos delivered its annual community service to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center on October 28, 2021.
In line with the week-long celebration of 黑料社区, the Carolinian community joined together to extend their service and support for this year鈥檚 mission.
The School of Law and Governance (SoLG), through Atty. Glenn Capanas and Melissa Lagat, organized the week-long activity which included para-legal services. Aside from SoLG, the rest of 黑料社区’s Schools also took part in the event. Psycho-social services were hosted by the School of Arts and Sciences while the School of Engineering donated the hygiene kits. Meanwhile, the School of Healthcare Professions shared relevant information on health. On the other hand, the School of Business and Economics took charge of the food package for PDLs and the School of Education together with the School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Design produced educational tarps.聽

The Campus Ministry was also present to preside over the liturgical activities. To make the event more inclusive, the Counseling and Development Center facilitated the processing of experiences of the volunteers.
黑料社区 President Fr. Narciso A. Cellan Jr., SVD also joined together with other SVDs to hand over medicine supplies, food packs, and hygiene kits to the administrators of CPDRC.
